Due to popular demand from our users, we've compiled a definitive list of airlines that offer internet-connected inflight Wi-Fi. We update this list regularly as more airlines add Wi-Fi to their inflight entertainment offering. Please email us if we've missed any at [email protected].
Please be aware that not all aircraft in each airline fleet listed have inflight Wi-Fi installed. Check with your airline directly before booking!
There are now 87 airlines offering inflight Wi-Fi and globally, passengers now have a better than 50% chance of flying on an aircraft with inflight Wi-Fi .
Airlines that offer inflight WiFi and/or GSM internet access:
Air New Zealand
All Nippon Airways
Beijing Capital Airlines
Delta Air Lines
GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes
Hong Kong Airlines
Pakistan International Airlines
Philippine Airlines (PAL)
Qantas Airways (Domestic Australia Coverage Only)
Thai Air Asia
Remember, not all Wi-Fi systems are created equal! Some first generation systems are slow and unreliable. Newer technology, however, gives passengers speeds greater than some home broadband connections and we've seen speeds up to 15Mbps recently.
The inflighto app uses very little data and only requires a connection speed around 1Mb/s (or even less) to operate. It only uses about 20kbp/s data - far less data than Netflix of Spotify which can use about 6Mbps! You can easily enjoy Inflighto on most airlines' 'free' inflight Wi-Fi packages.
Download the Inflighto app BEFORE you fly and subscribe to any upgrades you require. Some airlines don't allow access to the Google or Apple app stores infight.
We look forward to flying with you soon!
